Westchester/Rockland Regional Activities: 2013-2013

Spring Carol Russett Awards Luncheon/Presentation:  Friday, April 26, 2013

TOPIC:  From Globalization to Global Citizenship: The Building of the Rainbow Bridge

PRESENTER:  Dr. Mandana Nahkai, Dean of Academic Affairs-Traditional Undergraduate and Professor of English-NY, Concordia College

AWARD WINNER:  Dr. Susan D. Toliver, Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Sociology, and Co-coordinator of the Women’s Studies Program at Iona College

3:00pm  Presentation of the Dr. Carol S. Russett Award to:
Dr. Susan D. Toliver. Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Sociology, and Co-coordinator of the Women’s Studies Program at Iona College

 

The “Dr. Carol S. Russett Award” is given on an annual basis to a woman educator who:

  1. Exemplifies the mission of ACE/NYS ACE Women’s Network
  2. Dedicates herself to higher education by serving her students, colleagues, and institution generously;
  3. Demonstrates a personal commitment to professional growth and enrichment;
  4. Unselfishly has given of her time and energy in assisting other women in their professional development as a mentor and role model; and
  5. Demonstrates an interest and concern for her community outside the academic environment.
